| November the 5th saw a contingent of club
members make their way to Kay Park in Kilmarnock for the bonfire night
celebrations. The experience was a swift learning curve in the art
of night time photography. Including how to get the best effect and
colour. Experimentation showed tungsten white balance seems
the best way of recording a cleaner whiter base colour of fireworks themselves. Meter reading was abandoned, but it was found that a smaller aperture and long exposure got the best results. The use of a sturdy tripod made life so much easier too. It lets you get on with the framing of the fireworks. |
